Snorkel at Cabuya Island, Explore Secret Waterfalls, Watch Incredible Sea Sunsets
Piedra Colorada Tour:
We head to the shores of Playa Montezuma to enter the sea and head north to Piedra Colorada. With your naturalist/bilingual guide, you paddle until you reach the shore of Costa Rica’s first Absolute Reserve and the birthplace of Costa Rica’s impressive conservation system. We take a break from paddling to explore Piedra Colorada (in English: Colored Rock beach for the sand is covered with rainbow colored rocks. Your guide will take you to a natural “spa” treatment including aquatic massage, secret waterfalls, volcanic rock mudmask. . . true paradise!
Then we return to the sea and continue paddling to Playa Grande. At Playa Grande (the great local surf spot and home to four species of sea turtles) we relax, enjoy some fresh fruit and water, then gear up for the paddle back. Playa Grande is also known as Reserva Romelia. Volunteers work to help protect baby turtle eggs and collect much needed data of the native sea turtles.

Sunset Tour:
We start on the shores of Playa Montezuma and paddle south towards Cabuya Island. We paddle by numerous white sand beaches and beautiful jungle coastline. We see a beautiful view of the sun as it sets over the mountains. Great views and amazing photos.

Cabuya Island
Cabuya Island:
Known for its clear, calm waters, this secret island is one of the best places to snorkel. This tour starts at Cabuya’s shore where you will paddle to and around the island. You will learn about the local fish and wildlife with your local guide. After snorkeling, you will be able to explore the island with an indigenous cemetery and great views.
