Escuelita de Idiomas
¡Ingles para Todos! & Spanish School
Proyecto Montezuma’s mission is to further the educational opportunities for local children and adults, plus to offer travelers a unique approach to learning Spanish. To achieve this mission, Proyecto Montezuma’s team of dedicated global volunteers offers English classes and much-needed extra-curricular courses to public school kids and area adults at our Escuelita de Idiomas (“little language school”). Plus, we teach Spanish immersion classes to those eager to accomplish the impressive feat of learning a new language. All English classes are free of charge to locals and run by our team of volunteers. Proyecto Montezuma’s Escuelita de Idiomas is funded by tourists booking sustainable and popular tours through our tour office, volunteer program fees and donations. Please see our list of wonderful programs, guaranteed to satisfy the adventurer, nature lover and educator in you!
¡Ingles para Todos!
Using a unique accredited curriculum, our students learn conversational English while furthering environmental care and concern. We offer courses day and night, small class sizes with formal and nonformal assessments. Our classes are organized into the following groups: Preschool, Elementary, High School & Adults. We accept volunteers with and without teaching experience. Regardless of your age, experience or expertise, your time spent teaching and learning with local children and adults is guaranteed to be rewarding.

Support Proyecto Montezuma’s mission by applying for our Programs and by booking all tours with us. This is how you help fund scholarships for local impoverished children to attend English classes and for us to continue local reforestation projects. Learning English drastically changes the economic opportunities for locals, thus your support has long-lasting effects. Become a volunteer or book all your tours with Proyecto Montezuma to Travel Like You Care!

Spanish School
Proyecto Montezuma offers conversational Spanish Immersion courses for volunteers and eager globetrotters. Accomplish your life-long dream of speaking a foreign language, brush up on your conversational skills, grammar and learn local colloquialisms from native speakers. Our teachers are all native Ticos (local term for people from Costa Rica) with prior teaching experience and utilize an accredited curriculum to teach to your learning needs. Ticos are famous for their fun slang (Pura Vida, Tuanis, Mae and so much more) and our teachers are eager to help you speak with confidence and ease. Our classes mix conversational speaking, grammar instruction and writing exercises to provide you with confidence when speaking in numerous situations. Spanish School’s immersion courses include 2 hours of group or individual instruction, books, learning materials and a guaranteed positive learning experience.
