Accomplish your life-long dream of speaking a foreign language, brush up on your conversational skills, grammar and learn local colloquialisms from native Spanish-speaking teachers. Our Spanish teachers are all native Ticos (local term for Costa Ricans) with prior teaching experience who utilize a curriculum accredited and guaranteed to teach you to speak Spanish with confidence. Ticos are famous for their fun slang (Pura Vida, Tuanis, Mae and so much more) and, in addition to grammar instruction, oral speaking and writing exercises, we incorporate local slang to help you feel more comfortable while vacationing in Costa Rica. Our teachers are eager to help you speak formally and converse with confidence.
You study Spanish in a comfortable, intimate and relaxed setting with a maximum of five students per class at our Escuelita de Idiomas, located right in the center of Montezuma’s beach paradise. As a member of our small classes, you will receive the necessary individual attention and support to allow you progress as fast as possible. Proyecto Montezuma also has one-on-one private classes available. You will have a formal assessment on your first day to determine your level – and place you in the best class with the best teacher to suit your needs. Plus, our class are fluid, meaning if you progress and exceed expectations we will change your level, this way you are guaranteed to reach your learning goals at your pace. The best way for a student to learn Spanish is to become immersed as much as possible in the local culture, and we guarantee you a true immersion language learning experience. We use a practical and proven approach to learning Spanish, which requires a wide use of the language in your classes, and application of what has been learned to practical situations. You will soon incorporate your new learning into your speech and grammar while continually adding new vocabulary.
Proyecto Montezuma’s mission as a nonprofit language school, la Escuelita de Idiomas, is to promote the learning opportunities for local people and travelers, and we accomplish this will our small class size, personalized instruction, and low program costs. Proyecto Montezuma’s program fees cover all materials needed and the equitable salaries of our teachers only, striving to further the spirit of true nonprofit organizations. Plus, as a Spanish language student, you are supporting scholarships for local children to attend our English classes also taught at La Escuelita de Idiomas. As a Spanish language student, you can combine your language study with Volunteer Teaching (volunteer teachers teach English and extra-curricular courses to local school children and adults), Surf School, Yoga, Sustainable Tours and Scuba Diving Programs.
All Spanish students receive level-based Spanish Book & all needed Instructional Materials.
